Job summary

Select Medical's Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL seeks a CT Technologist for per diem roles with evening, night, and weekend shifts. The role offers a pay rate of $50 per hour and a pathway to flexibility in scheduling, supporting a patient-focused post-ICU and rehabilitation program.

Responsibilities include patient prep, CT imaging, contrast administration, QA, and clerical tasks. Required ARRT/CMRT, BLS, and licensure; prior CT experience preferred; dedication to ongoing CE.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
