Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging with compassionate patient care. You will perform CT exams, ensure dose optimization, and maintain infection control in a hospital setting.

The role requires ARRT Radiography and CT certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year in Radiology. You will work a shift schedule Thu, Fri, and alternating weekends with a supportive care team and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R certification required (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT certification required (Computed Tomography).
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and optimize images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining dose optimization (ALARA).
• Maintain infection control and clean/disinfect rooms and equipment.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety during the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and complete documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies and life-support readiness.
• Maintain daily workflow and coordinate with teams to support department flow.

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
