Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT and radiographic exams, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. You will prepare patients, verify orders, and operate imaging equipment while maintaining infection control and accurate documentation.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with focus on radiation safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• 1 year radiology experience preferred; CT experience preferred.
• ARRT radiography/computed tomography certifications required upon hire (as stated).
• Excellent communication with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients.
• Prepare and position patients for CT and radiographic exams.
• Verify clinician orders and gather patient history.
• Ensure proper patient identification and marker usage.
• Operate imaging equipment with attention to radiation safety.
• Maintain equipment and restock supplies as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients using AIDET principles.
• Document procedures concisely in patient records.
