Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a talented CT Technologist for per diem shifts at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role involves performing CT exams, educating patients, and working within an interdisciplinary care team.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT certification, MA/RI licensure, BLS, and ARRT/NMTCB registration. Per diem status; compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

ACCREDITED program in Radiologic Technology or related field; primary certification within 1 year; post-primary CT certification.
Post-primary certification in CT within 1 year of eligibility and/or MA/RI licensure.
Current RT licensure in MA and/or RI based on location.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
ARRT or NMTCB certification is required.
Fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform diversified clinical patient care and imaging duties within the assigned modality as part of a care team.
Assess patients, correlate findings with exam requests, and document data in the EHR.
Educate patients for exams and position patients with appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
Select technical factors to produce quality images and evaluate image quality.
Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure and ensure MR safety awareness.
Assist physicians in procedures and maintain per diem requirements.
