Responsibilities include patient preparation and positioning, dose monitoring with preset alerts, selecting protocols for thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro and musculoskeletal imaging, and performing CT interventional and advanced CTA studies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a specialty training program.
• Experience with CT imaging protocols and patient care.

Responsabilités

• Operates CT scanners and related systems to produce high-quality images.
• Maintains proficiency across CT systems at multiple locations.
• Monitors dose data and adheres to Image Gently Guidelines.
• Selects appropriate protocols based on clinical histories for thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Performs CT Interventional Procedures and advanced CTA studies (e.g., TAVR, EVAR).
• Ensures patient safety through proper preparation and shielding.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and physics to ensure dose reduction.

Role Overview: Performs CT procedures to acquire diagnostic images under radiologist supervision, utilizing advanced technology and protocols. Maintains knowledge of multiple CT systems, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and dose monitoring. Provides patient care by properly preparing, positioning, and immobilizing patients, and performing interventional and advanced CTA imaging. Ensures protocols are based on clinical guidelines and optimizes image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to produce high-quality images.
• Maintains proficiency across various CT systems at multiple locations.
• Adheres to Image Gently Guidelines and monitors dose data, alerting when preset levels are exceeded.
• Uses clinical histories and knowledge of anatomy to select appropriate protocols for thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Performs CT Interventional Procedures and advanced CTA studies, including TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging.
• Ensures patient safety through correct preparation, shielding, and technical factor selection.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and physics to ensure quality, safety, and dose reduction.
