AdventHealth in Texas is seeking a dedicated Radiology CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT exams while maintaining safety standards and delivering patient-centered care.

This on-site role requires 1+ year radiology experience, CT training, and ARRT MRT licensure. The team emphasizes collaboration with radiologists and accurate documentation in EMR/PACS, with benefits starting from day one.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of radiology experience required.
• Completion of a CT training program or active enrollment in AdventHealth CT training (preferred).
• Licensed technologist with RT(R) and MRT credentials required.

Responsabilités

• Position patients accurately and safely, using immobilization devices as needed and maintaining ALARA standards.
• Follow department protocols for patient identification, informed consent and time-out procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure imaging accuracy and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Educate patients about the exam and keep exams efficient and urgent needs met.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, adapt protocols for all ages.
• Perform high-quality CT examinations per orders and protocols.
• Review patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and contraindications.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast and monitor for adverse reactions.

Job Description:

• Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience: 1+ years of experience in radiology [Required]

Additional Information: Completion of a CT training program OR active enrollment in an approved AdventHealth Workforce Development CT training program. [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist - Radiography RT(R)(ARRT) [Required]
• Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) - Texas Medical Board (TMB) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
