Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a radiologic team lead to supervise technologists and imaging operations in a fast-paced environment in Texas. You will oversee CT protocols, ensure patient safety, and support continuous quality improvements.

The role requires ARRT CT and MRT-TMB licenses, BLS certification, and 5+ years of radiology leadership. Excellent communication and collaboration with physicians are essential for delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • ARRT CT certification required; MRT-TMB license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision of radiologic technologists and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
  • Coordinate daily workflow, staffing, and room utilization.
  • Offer guidance on CT protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support ALARA principles, radiation safety, and accreditation standards.
  • Assist onboarding, training, and competency assessment for technologists and new hires.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and leadership to facilitate timely imaging services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management.

Job Description:

Monday - Friday Days $20,000 Sign On Bonus for Eligible Applicants

  • Provides day-to-day supervision of radiologic technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization.
  • Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.
  • Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires.
  • Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.
  • Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.
  • Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance.
  • Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various and diverse backgrounds [Required]

  • Up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, isolation techniques, and sterile procedures [Required]
  • Demonstrates skills in listening, empathizing, and responds to patient, family, internal/external partner needs [Required]
  • Ability to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or services delivered [Required]
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other health care professionals in the management and implementation of care within and across care settings and communities [Required]
  • Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required]
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Ability to perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical details [Required]
  • Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians [Required]
  • Basic IV skills [Preferred]
  • A background in general physics and cross-sectional anatomy [Preferred]
Education:
  • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
  • Associate [Preferred]
Work Experience:
  • 1+ years leadership experience [Preferred]
  • 5+ years experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Computed Tomography RT (CT)(ARRT) [Required]
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) - Texas Medical Board (TMB) [Required]
