Job summary

Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department, part of Atrium Health, seeks a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment with high proficiency. The role involves patient prep, contrast administration, image evaluation, and coordinating with radiologists.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, documenting history, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced emergency setting. Must meet ARRT/NMTCB requirements and BLS. Sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB; ARRT CT registry within one year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before exam and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures clearly.
• Review EMR for history and document on requisitions.
• Perform exam from start to finish until dictated results.
• Operate IV contrast per protocol and record usage.
• Assess image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Provide basic patient care and assist in emergencies.
• Maintain sterile technique and safety in all CT procedures.
