The CT Technologist at Cobb Hospital within Wellstar delivers safe, high‑quality imaging and supports patients with compassionate care. You will perform CT procedures, maintain ALARA standards, and ensure accuracy of orders and identifiers.

Qualificações

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsabilidades

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers before exams; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique where applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Support department operations and maintain orderly, stocked areas.
