The ideal candidate has ARRT CT certification, a CA RT license, BLS, and venipuncture certification; CT-specific certification is preferred for CA/OR. Expect routine maintenance and collaboration with the CT Scan department.

Qualifications

• Registered ARRT or CT certification as RT required in CA; CT certification preferred in OR/HI and CA for CT operators.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment.
• Venipuncture certification preferred in CA and OR.”

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescent through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information while protecting patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required

Essential Functions

• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
