Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform a variety of CAT Scan procedures in the Main Hospital in New Brunswick. The role emphasizes patient-first care and delivering high-quality imaging under Radiologist supervision.

Required: High School Diploma, AMA-approved Radiography education, ARRT or CRT and NJ license. Preferred: 3 years hospital experience with ability to work with minimal supervision. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiography Education.
• Must have ARRT or CRT and State of New Jersey License.
• Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred, with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Position patient to obtain study as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
• Position all anatomical parts as indicated by SOPs.
• Prepare to insure prompt commencement of the procedure.
• Ensure all necessary equipment is at hand before starting the examination.
• Under Radiologist direction, instruct and administer cleansing preps and contrast agents.
• Protect patients and staff with proper radiation protection techniques.
• Position patients for examinations to obtain desired radiographic results.
• Assist physicians in performance of examinations.
• Competently administer IV contrast media and venipuncture as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and keep room and stock organized.
• Maintain equipment maintenance logs and troubleshoot as needed.
• Manage patient scheduling and smooth flow of the schedule.
