  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 1 year of radiology experience.
  • ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography) certifications and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams following departmental protocols.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques as needed.
  • Maintain infection control and equipment functionality.
  • Obtain patient history, verify orders, and explain procedures clearly.
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout exams.
  • Administer contrast agents using sterile techniques.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and repeat if necessary.
  • Document procedures accurately and manage RIS/PACS entries.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies.
  • Support department operations and regulatory compliance.

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They are key members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures according to department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment independently, maintaining cleanliness, verifying patient information, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. They administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, review images, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems. Monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and supporting department operations are also essential duties.
Qualifications & Skills: Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. Certifications required include ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, patient communication skills, and adherence to safety protocols are vital.
