Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist Multimodality PRN to join our imaging team. The CT Tech performs routine and specialized CT imaging with a focus on high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment and supports a collaborative care approach with other clinicians at our hospital.

The role requires verifying patient safety, preparing the imaging suite, and adhering to radiation safety standards while delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide post-procedure instructions.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiationin accordance withthe established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography imagesused by physiciansfor diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionatelyassistand position patients onCTtable.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will releasecustomerwith proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepareroomusingaseptictechnique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLSrequiredwithin30 daysof start date.
• Two years of experience preferred withadditionaltraining in CT scanning.
• On CallRequired and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
