Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and support a positive patient experience. You will perform scans, ensure image quality, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.

The role requires ARRT CT and radiography credentials, BLS, and at least one year of radiology experience. We offer competitive pay with shift differential and benefits as part of Wellstar's commitment to health and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and independently, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with restocking crash carts.
