Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic radiography under general supervision. The role includes training and leading other staff, assessing patient needs by age, and performing additional duties as requested.

The ideal candidate has an AS or AAS in Radiologic Technology, NYS license or eligibility, ARRT certification (or obtain within a year), CPR, and contrast injection registration (or obtain within 3 months), plus at least one year

Qualifications

  • AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • NY license/registration or eligible; ARRT certification or obtain within 12 months
  • CPR certification; registration for contrast injection or obtain within 3 months
  • At least 1 year of radiologic technologist experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures under general supervision
  • Identify patient requirements relative to age-specific needs
  • Train and lead the work of other employees as assigned
  • Willingly perform other duties as requested

Education

AAS in Radiologic Technology
NYS license/registration or eligible
ARRT certification (or must obtain w/in one year)
CPR certification
Registration for Contrast Injection (or must obtain w/in 3 months)
1 year experience as radiologic technologist
