Job summary

Geisinger in Scranton, PA seeks a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures in a clinical setting. You will ensure correct patient identification and protocol adherence while maintaining confidentiality and safety.

You will support interventional CT cases, educate students, and collaborate with licensed practitioners to optimize imaging quality and data management. Training and professional certification are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required upon hire.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB prior to first day.
• Hires after Mar 10, 2024 must advance to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order, patient identification and prep; corroborates clinical history with confidentiality.
• Uses appropriate imaging protocol; optimizes factors while applying ALARA for patient safety.
• Preparing and/or administering medications through vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluates images for positioning and quality; verifies data archiving/transfer.
• Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
• Assists licensed practitioner with interventional CT procedures.
• Performs CT procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
