Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for the CT registry.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams, including contrast administration.
• Position patients accurately using knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Perform CT exams following department protocols and transmit data for radiologist interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality in real time and adjust techniques for diagnostic-quality results.
• Maintain and clean equipment; report any concerns or malfunctions.
• Adapt imaging techniques based on patient age, size and condition.
• Support department operations, including inventory and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
• Complete all documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage.
