Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience.

As a valued member of the radiology team, you will perform CT procedures, adhere to ALARA guidelines, maintain patient comfort and safety, and document studies accurately in RIS/PACS. A 40-hour weekday day shift with sign-on eligibility awaits qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography)
• Certifications: ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients, addressing questions and reducing anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams with contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique as required.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-acquire if needed.
• Document thoroughly in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
