Job summary

CommonSpirit Health through YRMC is seeking a CT Technologist to capture precise diagnostic CT images and support radiologists in accurate diagnoses. You will perform cross‑sectional imaging of the skeleton, tissues, and organs while delivering compassionate patient care to ensure a positive experience throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technologist program is required.
• AZ MRAD and CTRAD certifications are required.
• RTR or RTCT certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans per current protocols and radiologist recommendations.
• Apply ALARA principles and radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and documentation in scanner and PACS.
• Perform work-ups such as reconstructions on 3-D workstation.
• Complete hospital/department forms and document exam in RadNet.
• Submit incident reports and contrast information as required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional
• Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
• Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams. Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
• Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet.
• Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms. Scans in documentation as required into PACS

• CT Radiology Tech: AZ (CTRAD:AZ)
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) or
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT)
• American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

• Three years of CT experience
