Job Duties:
- Operate all equipment effectively, safely, and efficiently.
- Compute and utilize proper and safe radiation exposure factors.
- Ensure all patient screening is complete before the scan and monitor patient’s condition throughout the procedure.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, following safety precautions and recommendations.
- Follow safety protocols to comply with medical, state, and federal safety standards, demonstrating necessary knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care.
- Proficiently perform all aspects of ordered CT procedures for diagnostic imaging.
- Utilize computer systems effectively, in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Accurately obtain and record patient data, ensure proper charging, coding, and modifiers for procedures.
- Review images for quality, assist in QC, QA, QI, or ACR processes as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- Graduate of an approved accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (R)(CT) Registered.
- Current CPR certification.
State Licensure:
Kentucky
- KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License - Radiography (Temporary or Permanent). Associate has 12 months from issuance of a temporary license to obtain ARRT(R).
Indiana
- Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License – Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit. Associate has 6 months from issuance to obtain ARRT(R).
Specialized Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge or experience in other radiology modalities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proven competency in intravenous contrast injection.
- Advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Experience:
- Clinical experience from an approved program.
