Join Our Team as a CT Technologist I - PRN at MedStar Radiology Network

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Modality Technologist for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging center located in Brandywine, MD. The hours available are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The technologist will rotate between CT and X-ray procedures.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the CT technologist:

  1. Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and 3-dimensional images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
  2. Ensures all services are performed safely, following established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  3. Acts as a team member within the imaging center, providing and seeking feedback for clinical practice improvement.
Requirements
Experience
  • Up to 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
Education
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program.
License/Certification
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography with current registration.
  • Must obtain or hold a CT advanced registration through ARRT within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Must meet state licensure requirements for practice location.
  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in operating CT and ancillary equipment.
  • Capable of working independently and multitasking effectively.
  • Accurate and concise documentation skills.
  • Understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including billing systems, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
