Radiologic Technologist I- PRN/11am-7:30pm 3pm-11:30pm

Position Purpose

Carries out radiological examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Director/Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining quality care of all patients when in the department.

Responsibilities
  • Call for patients to be brought to Radiology.
  • Properly place requisitions for patient transport to radiology.
  • Ensure notes on requisitions are accurate to avoid delays.
  • Log patients in and out of Meditech system accurately.
  • Provide quality care for specific age groups, such as pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Stock and restock emergency trays.
  • Inspect and maintain the integrity of department equipment and rooms.
  • Assist in patient transport and support functions of the receptionist as needed.
  • Comply with hospital policies and maintain certifications.
  • Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment effectively and evaluate image quality.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Associate Degree in x-ray technology preferred.
  • Current BLS CPR certification required.
  • Registered by ARRT, with valid state license.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds or more.
  • Attention to detail and ability to operate in noisy environments.
