Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a CT Technologist for Texas Health Rockwall, operating 6:30 am to 7:00 pm in a full-time daytime schedule. You will perform CT imaging with a focus on patient safety and comfort, following department protocols and collaboration with radiologists and imaging staff.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or Associate Degree (preferred).
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or ARRT CT (within 12 months) (required).
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (required) and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.
• Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
• Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
• Assess and recognize the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
• Operate, care for and maintain equipment.
• Prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
• Administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

Associate Degree (preferred)

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R)

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT)

CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support
