Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a CT Technologist for full-time days at Rockwall. The role requires ARRT CT and R certifications, a radiologic technology background, and patient-care excellence. You will perform high-quality CT exams, explain procedures to patients, and ensure safety and comfort in a fast-paced setting.

The position includes working nights on a 12-hour shift with a strong emphasis on teamwork, ongoing education, and professional development within a leading Texas health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program is required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT or no prior ARRT-CT experience is required.
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications are required; CT if 1 year radiology tech experience within 12 months.
• CMRT certification is required.
• BCLS certification is required before providing independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and guardians prior to and during exams.
• Image the correct anatomical area per department protocols and perform complex CT procedures.
• Process and manipulate images, assess quality, and transfer to PACS.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment and prepare the examination room.
• Adhere to safety standards and assist with contrast administration.
• Maintain sanitary standards in the imaging suite between patients.

Full Time, Nights- Thursday, Friday and Saturday working 12-hour shifts from 6:30PM to 7:00 AM

Here’s What You Need

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required)
• Associate Degree (preferred)
• 1 Year Radiologic Technologist Experience Without ARRT-CT (required) Or
• No experience with ARRT-CT (required)
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required) and
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB (required) and
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

What You Will Do

A Texas Health CT Technologist is responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols, and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.

• process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
• correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
• assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
• operate, care for and maintain equipment.
• prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
• administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
• maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
