Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Cobb County, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care. You will work within a collaborative team to ensure safe procedures, proper contrast administration, and accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA doses.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and compliance.
