Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, interpretation, and perform interventional and therapeutic procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. CT Technologists independently perform or assist with these procedures, preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Additional competencies may be outlined in department-specific orientation.
