Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to operate CT equipment and produce high-quality cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities include performing CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy, while ensuring patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and accurate image transfer via PACS. CA licensure and ARRT CT certification required, with BLS and venipuncture as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT RT(R)(CT) or RT(R) ARR T certification required.
• CA Radiologic Tech license required.
• CT Advanced Certification required in OR/HI; CA preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license required if operating fluoroscopy in CA.
• Venipuncture certification required if administering contrast.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Education and Work Experience

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Required in CA, if employees performs venipuncture to administer contrast materials

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Essential Functions

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
