Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation. Required: ARRT registration, CA license, BLS, and CT certification (if applicable). Night shift; full-time position with competitive base pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT registration required or RT ARR T equivalent.
• State radiology license required in CA.
• CT advanced certification required in OR/HI; preferred in CA.
• BLS certification required per AH policy.
• Fluoroscopy license required in CA if fluoroscopy is used.
• Venipuncture certification required in CA if administering contrast materials.
• BLS certification and HLFS required for facility.

Responsibilities

• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Operates CT equipment and performs CT, general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses / Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Required in CA, if employees performs venipuncture to administer contrast materials

Facility Specific License / Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Essential Functions

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
