Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate CT equipment and generate cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation, while performing general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.

The role requires ARRT CT certification, CA licensure, BLS, and a preferred Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology. You will work with PACS/teleradiology, maintain records, and ensure HIPAA compliance in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Licensure: CA RT, ARRT CT, BLS required.
• Fluoroscopy license and venipuncture certification may be required in CA depending on duties.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Required in CA, if employees performs venipuncture to administer contrast materials

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
