Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in diagnostic radiography in an acute care facility.
• 1 year in a CT setting of an acute care facility.
• Preferred: 3 years’ experience scanning in CT in an acute care facility.

• Perform computed tomography exams and procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain the lowest possible radiation exposure while achieving maximal image quality.

Skills

Technical skills in computed tomography

Knowledge of all vasculature and organ systems

Knowledge of all CT guided invasive procedures

Basic patient care and assessment techniques

Knowledgeable in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection

High degree of accuracy in positioning and radiation exposure techniques

Education

State of California CRT

ARRT certification in CT

Venipuncture certification

Job description

Performs computed tomography exams and procedures with maximal image quality, patient safety and comfort while maintaining the lowest possible radiation exposure. Exams and procedures include all parts of the vasculature structures and organ systems.

Required Experience

Required:

• State of California CRT
• ARRT certification in CT
• Venipuncture certification and/or documentation of training
• CPR/BLS
• Clinical training – Three (3) years’ experience in diagnostic radiography in an acute care facility
• One (1) year in a CT setting of an acute care facility

Preferred:

• Three (3) years’ experience scanning in CT in an acute care facility
• Fluoroscopy certification
