Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations under radiologist supervision, ensuring high-quality images and accurate patient information for physician review.

The role requires ARRT CT program completion (or HS with CT cert), RIS/PACS proficiency, IV and BLS certification, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines. Work is on-site in Cherry Hill, NJ with full-time status.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates correct filming procedure and reviews films for clarity for physician interpretation.
  • Maintains CT equipment through cleaning and testing; reports malfunctions.
  • Creates CD-Rs and transfers data to PACS; logs exams in Radiology Information System.

Ensures the production of quality imaging and prepares pertinent patient information for physician and care team's review. Delivers patient care and education before, during and after imaging procedures.**Job Duties*** Operates CT scanners to produce radiographs according to departmental procedures; ensures the quality of pictures are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.* Ensures accurate positioning and proper preparation for patients during scanning procedures; conducts timely adjustments of patient position and/or medical dosages according to anatomical circumstances and other technical factors.* Demonstrates proper filming procedure and critiques films to ensure accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation.* Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection during the imaging process.* Creates hardcopy record of exam via CD-R, films and data transfer to PACS. Completes exam in Radiology Information System. Performs QC on exam in PACS to maintain system and billing accuracy.* Maintains CT Scanning equipment by performing scheduled cleaning, testing and documenting results; notifies supervision of malfunctioning equipment.* Performs other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor or manager, including those related to quality assurance and/or control.Responsible for maintaining continuing education required for licenses and job position* Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.(Do not delete, move or over-write this statement)* Other duties as assigned.**Minimum Qualifications*** Specialized Diploma :Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program and documentation of formal CT program. or* High School Diploma/GED with CT certification* Knowledge of RIS systems* Knowledge of PAC's systems* IV Certification* BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association**Additional Qualifications****Physical Demands**Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking.
