Ensures the production of quality imaging and prepares pertinent patient information for physician and care team's review. Delivers patient care and education before, during and after imaging procedures.## ## **Essential Functions*** ## Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.* ## Operates CT scanners to produce radiographs according to departmental procedures; ensures the quality of pictures are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.* ## Ensures accurate positioning and proper preparation for patients during scanning procedures; conducts timely adjustments of patient position and/or medical dosages according to anatomical circumstances and other technical factors.* ## Demonstrates proper filming procedure and critiques films to ensure accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation.* ## Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection during the imaging process.* ## Creates hardcopy record of exam via CD-R, films and data transfer to PACS. Completes exams in Radiology Information System.
