Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Radiology team. This full-time role supports CT imaging with Siemens Force scanners while adhering to safety and quality standards in a Magnet-designated hospital.

The position involves a 4‑10 hour day schedule with alternating weekend shifts, patient screening, and contrast administration per policy. We offer comprehensive benefits and on-site amenities in Lake Forest.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system.

Education
