Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and produce diagnostic images with patient-centered care. This full-time role works four days a week: Monday 6:30am-7:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma, AMA-approved radiography program, ARRT registration, state licensure if applicable, CPR, CT competency, and imaging specialty certification. Bilingual is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Must be able to competently perform CT procedures independently.

Responsibilities

  • Screens patient before exam using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains and prepares patients for scanning procedures and positions them appropriately.
  • Performs routine and advanced CT scanning procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters correctly and uses dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Follows physicians' orders, adheres to safety regulations, and maintains RIS records.
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements; keeps work area clean and safe.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a Full-Time position working 4 days a week- Monday; 6:30am-7:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday; 6:30am-4:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
  • Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support
  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Required:
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
Preferred:
  • Bilingual
