Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and provide patient-centered imaging services. The role includes patient prep, positioning, and adherence to safety and RIS documentation. Training in CT is available; weekend rotation may apply.

The position is 32 hours per week, non-remote, with benefits eligibility and a pay range of $30.00–$47.47 per hour based on experience. Certification in imaging and ARRT registration are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT-registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
• CPR certification current.
• Ability to perform CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures and ensure safety.
• Follow physician orders and document in RIS with accuracy.
• Maintain imaging protocols and equipment; participate in training.
• Assist with imaging department support and supply monitoring.

Job Summary

RAYUS now offers DailyPay! Work today, get paid today! The pay range for this position is $30.00-$47.47 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a part-time position typically working 32 hours per week (benefit eligible) working Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm and 8:30am - 5:00pm, includes Saturday rotation. This is a multimodality position working in CT, C-arm, and X-ray. Willing to train in CT!

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
• Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
