Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform CT procedures, prepare patients, and ensure accuracy and safety in a dynamic clinical setting with exposure to a Level II adult trauma center and a high-volume ED.

Qualifications

• Formal training in Radiology Technology from an AMA-approved program.
• Minimum 3–4 years radiologic experience with preferred CT exposure.
• 1 year CT exposure or training to be proficient.
• ARRT CT certification and MA Radiologic license required.
• BLS certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment for proper diagnostic imaging and ensure daily cleaning and supplies.
• Set up and adjust CT equipment per exam specifications and dose limits.
• Assess patients, explain procedures, and prepare them for exams.
• Administer contrast agents via IV using sterile technique.
• Review patient charts with Radiologist to ensure correct exams and timely transport.
• Quality control images, maintain inventory, and follow safety regulations.
• Apply anatomy knowledge to obtain optimal diagnostic images and positioning.
• Embrace new technology and contribute to department-wide process improvements.
