Qualifications

• Formal training in Radiology Technology from an AMA approved program.
• 3–4 years radiologic experience; CT exposure or training preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required.
• Massachusetts Radiation Control Program certification.
• BLS certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment for proper diagnostic imaging and image quality.
• Sets up and calibrates CT unit; adjusts exam parameters as needed.
• Accepts patients, explains procedures, and prepares them for the scan.
• Administers contrast agents and performs IV access when required.
• Reviews orders with Radiologist to ensure correct examination and results.
• Trains department personnel on CAT Scan and safety protocols.
