Job summary

Akumin is seeking a CT Technologist at our Newark, NJ facility for a full-time position. The role involves performing CT imaging with focus on patient comfort and safety, and collaboration with radiologists to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications include ARRT CT registry and state licensure; CPR, a diploma or higher, and the ability to train others. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree preferred.
• ARRT CT registry or NMTCB CT certification may be required depending on state.
• State license and Medical Imaging licensure if applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Active State Driver’s License for mid-day moves.
• Strong customer service and multitasking skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and staff.
• Train new technologists and PCs as needed.
• Troubleshoot the scanner and peripheral equipment including monitors and PACS.
