Job summary

Akumin in Wilmington, NC seeks a PET/CT Technologist for a full-time role at our outpatient imaging facility. You will perform PET/CT imaging, ensure patient safety, pre-screen for contraindications, and communicate clearly with patients and radiologists.

The position requires NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, CPR, state license, High School Diploma, and willingness to work at multiple locations; preferred: 1-2 years nuclear medicine experience and an associate degree.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience and 1-2 years in Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety compliance.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate with patients and radiologists effectively.
• Train new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment.
