Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate CT and related imaging equipment on-site at Froedtert Hospital. You will perform CT studies following protocols and safety guidelines while collaborating with radiologists, nurses and other staff.

The role requires ARRT registration in diagnostic radiology, WI licensure as a Radiographer, and BLS within 90 days of hire; CT certification within 18 months. Prior CT experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Shift Details: M-F 1130-2200 SS 1100-2100 Holidays/ Weekends: Work holidays and weekends that fall on On week

Job Summary:

At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Reviews images; archives with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

EDUCATION PREFEERED:

1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required. Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
