Job summary

Froedtert Health in Wisconsin seeks a CT Technologist to operate computed tomography and related equipment under the direction of a radiologist.

You will perform CT studies per prescribed protocols and radiation safety measures, review images, archive data, and coordinate with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff to ensure timely, accurate patient care. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
• ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology; WI license as Radiographer required.
• Advanced CT certification required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment under radiologist direction.
• Perform CT studies per guidelines and prescribed protocols.

Job Summary

At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Reviews images; archives with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred. Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION

Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required. Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
