Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate CT and related equipment under the direction of a radiologist. You will perform CT studies according to guidelines, review images, and ensure proper radiation protection.

Interactions with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors are part of the role. Qualifications include ARRT in diagnostic radiology, WI Radiographer license, and CT certification within 18 months of hire.

Monday - Friday 1130-2200 Holidays/Weekends: Saturday and Sunday 1100-2100 7 on 7 off rotation

Job Summary

At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Reviews images; archives with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.

Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION

Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.

Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
