Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment under a radiologist's direction, performing studies with strict adherence to protocols and radiation safety. You will review images, archive data, and collaborate with imaging personnel, nursing staff, patients, and visitors.

Qualified candidates have ARRT credentials, Wisconsin licensure, and CT certification within 18 months of hire, plus a year of CT or radiology experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
• ARRT registered RT in diagnostic radiology required.
• State of WI Radiographer license required.
• Advanced CT certification within 18 months of hire/transfer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate computed tomography (CT) and related equipment under radiologist direction.
• Perform CT studies per guidelines and protocols with radiation protection.
• Review and archive images with patient data; interact with imaging staff and patients.

Job Summary:

At the direction of a radiologist operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines, prescribed protocols and utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Reviews images; archives with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients and visitors.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.

Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.

Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire/transfer.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
