Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist at Lake Forest Hospital to perform diagnostic imaging using ALARA principles, screen and prepare patients, and monitor throughout procedures. You will ensure accuracy of exams, maintain equipment readiness, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited radiology program with BLS certification and ARRT CT credential preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system, including exam setup, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
