Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT examinations with a focus on image quality, patient safety, and protocol adherence. The role involves administering contrast, positioning patients, and ensuring accurate documentation in the imaging workflow.

The candidate will work within a fast-paced radiology team, maintain compliance with IEMA accreditation, and uphold ALARA principles while delivering compassionate patient care in a full-time,

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
Licensure in Illinois (IEMA Accreditation).
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred: 1 year experience and ARRT CT certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain patient safety throughout imaging process.
Produce diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols.
Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality.
Review images for adequacy and initiate corrective action if needed.
Administer contrast per policy and monitor patients.
Operate imaging equipment and maintain room readiness.
Document exam details and ensure correct data transfer to PACS.
Adhere to safety standards and provide a positive patient experience.
Support department initiatives and assist with workflow.
