Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred: 1 year experience; ARRT CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety and screen, prepare, monitor, and assist post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images for adequacy and initiates corrective action as needed.
• Administers contrast per policy with screening and monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains readiness of the imaging room.
• Maintains and documents exam data in the medical record and PACS.
• Ensures ALARA principles and safety for patients and staff.
• Verifies orders and protocols; positions patient and determines technical parameters.
• Performs CT QA and clerical tasks as needed.
