Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality imaging with a focus on safety and comfort.

You will collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to deliver accurate, timely results and participate in interventional CT procedures as needed. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and adherence to protocols, with shift coverage for mid-evening hours and a commitment to patient-centered

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical radiology experience.
• 2-4 years CT in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state.
• CT certification or eligibility to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images following protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients for CT procedures with appropriate safety and comfort.
• Verifies patient identity, physician orders, and screening for contraindications.
• Performs point-of-care creatinine testing and documents results when required.
• Administers contrast media as ordered and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides post-exam instructions.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams for timely, patient-centered care.
• Assists with interventional CT procedures and sterile field setup.
• Reviews images for accuracy and communicates findings as needed.
• Maintains CT equipment cleanliness, QC checks, and supply levels.
