Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist in Palos Heights, IL for a full-time evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) alternating weekends/holidays. You will operate CT equipment, ensure image quality per protocols, and maintain patient safety throughout the imaging process.

The role includes documenting procedures and coordinating exam flow while supporting a positive patient experience. Applicants should be a Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program with IEMA accreditation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois IEMA Accreditation required.
• ARRT CT certification within 12 months of hire or 10+ years of relevant CT experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging, including screening and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images for diagnostic adequacy and initiates corrective action when needed.
• Operates CT imaging equipment and maintains room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Documents exam data and ensures accurate charging and PACS transfer.
• Adheres to safety standards and ensures positive patient experience.

Accredited Radiology Technologist Program

IEMA Accreditation

Basic Life Support (BLS)

ARRT CT Certification (within 12 months of hire or 10+ years experience)
