Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT imaging and standard radiography procedures. You will prepare patients, position them for exams, adjust equipment for proper exposure, and monitor their condition during the procedure.

Responsibilities include documenting patient histories, labeling images correctly, and maintaining required records. Licensure, ARRT, and 1+ year experience are expected."

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam and translate procedures into layman terms to relieve anxiety; obtain consent when needed.
• Perform radiologic exams according to standards and SOPs; position patients and adjust immobilization devices as required.
• Operate and adjust x-ray equipment to obtain correct exposure and monitor patient condition during procedures.
• Enter patient history and requisition information; ensure proper labeling of images and accurate daily logs.
• Maintain documentation and track each examination in required records; perform related duties as needed.
