Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency in Scranton seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging using CT equipment, ensure patient safety, and support interventional procedures.

The ideal candidate has ARRT/NMTCB certification, completion of a Radiologic Technology program, and a related bachelor's degree is preferred. New graduates must obtain certification prior to starting; strong data handling and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to starting.
• Ability to perform and evaluate CT procedures accurately and safely.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a related bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety and quality.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, document procedures, and evaluate image quality.
• Assist with interventional procedures and support education of students and healthcare providers.
• Ensure proper data storage, transfer, and post-processing of imaging data.

Role Overview: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. They independently operate CT equipment, assist licensed practitioners, and ensure accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and intervention.
